Some examples of features that we can add to your new houseboat are fishing rod holders, an outdoor bar, an outdoor grill, and even a full SONOS sound system!
Yes, we give you the option of adding propulsion or not. Adding engines to your floating home would come at an additional fee.
Our timeline depends on our customers’ request and our production schedule. A fully customized houseboat will take around 3 months to be completed. Give us a call today to see how long it will take us to build your new houseboat.
Yes! All of our houseboats and floating homes are registered as boats and qualify for conventional boat financing. Our team works closely with several marine lenders and will assist you with the financing process.
Once you have selected your custom design and have chosen all the features you would like on your vessel we request a 10% FULLY REFUNDABLE good faith deposit to secure your production spot. We will send you your construction contract and request the following payment schedule:
30% due prior to start
30% due at the beginning of the construction of the home
30% due at completion of the vessel
Balance: Due prior to transportation
Since your houseboat or floating home is built and registered as a boat with the coast guard it can be docked anywhere a boat can. Our team will assist you in finding a slip near you that can accommodate our houseboats. Whether it be a river, lake, pond or bay, The American Houseboat is the best option for a home on the water. Our houseboats and floating homes can be used as permanent live aboard residences, guest houses, vacation rentals, and virtually any type of housing you can imagine.
